Future Multimedia Networking (FMN09) will be held at the Auditorium of the central unit of Faculty For Science and Technology (Faculdade de Ciencias e Tecnologia), Polo II of the University of Coimbra, in modern conference facilities and close to the historic center of the city. University of Coimbra, established in 1290, is one of the oldest universities in Europe. Please see the "green balloon" in the Google Maps.

Coimbra is located in the central part of Portugal, 120 km south of Porto, 195 km north of Lisbon and 35 km east of the Atlantic coast. It is less than two hours from Lisbon and Porto international airports, which are easily accessible by train, bus or car.

Mostly famous for its University, whose unique atmosphere attracts students from around the world, the city is also known for its monuments, churches, libraries, numerous parks, gardens and nightlife.

The workshop banquet will be on June 22 at the beautiful "O Basófias" Vessel. The "O Basófias" is a recreational vessel built in France, specially designed to sail the Mondego River in Coimbra (for more information see http://www.basofias.com/en/).
